Multibody Dynamic Analysis

The Wheel Trapper has been developed using Multibody Dynamic Software; complex interactions between multiple parameters have been studied in search for maximum performance: stopping power and safety eg. road surface, tire (friction coefficient), vehicle dimensions, 2WD & 4WD, tyre dimensions, torque, weight etc . and other vehicle characteristics.

Velocity curves analysis, displacement curve analysis were studied in-order to improve the design elements and achieve maximum vehicle detainment.

Simulation results indicate that with the deployment of the Wheel Trapper, a vehicle can be detained at zero velocity and displacement whilst the driver is trying to flee.
